Like a job employee, now farmers will also get pension
Even after retirement, there are no problems for the employed people,
because they keep getting pension. This
pension is only part of their job and salary.
Do you know that farmers can get pension every month just like people
doing government jobs. There is a
special scheme of the Central Government for this.
Actually, the central government is
running a variety of schemes for farmers.
One of them is - PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Under this scheme (PM Kisan Maan Dhan Scheme)
there is a provision of pension after the age of 60 years. If any farmer from the age of 18 to 40 years
contributes every month according to age, after the age of 60, he will get
pension of Rs 3000 every month or Rs 36000 annually.
This pension fund is being managed by
the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
According to media reports, more than 21 lakh farmers have been
connected to this scheme so far. Come,
let us know in detail about this plan.
What is the plan, how much contribution?
Farmers between the age of 18 to 40 years can
take part in the farmer pension scheme, which has a maximum land of up to 2
hectares for farming. They will have to
contribute monthly from around Rs 55 to Rs 200 for minimum 20 years and maximum
40 years under the scheme.
The contribution depends on the age of the
farmers. For example, if you join at the
age of 18, then the monthly contribution will have to be Rs 55 or the annual
contribution will be Rs 660. At the same
time, if you join at the age of 40, then you have to contribute 200 rupees a
month or 2400 rupees annually.
Under this scheme, the contribution of
the farmer will be equal to the contribution made by the government. That is, if your contribution to PM Kisan
account is Rs 55, then the government will also contribute Rs 55 to your
account.
Register to
take advantage of this scheme
To avail the benefit of this Kisan Maan Dhan
Pension Scheme, the concerned farmer will have to register himself by visiting
the nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
For this, the Aadhar card of the farmer and copy of Khasra-Khatian will
have to be taken. Along with this, 2
passport size photographs of the farmer and bank passbook will also be
required.
Farmers should remember that they will
not have to pay any separate fees for registration. During registration, the farmer's unique
pension number and pension card will be made.
What would
happen if I left the contribution in the middle?
If a farmer is unable to contribute due to any
reason or wants to leave the scheme in between for some other reason, his money
will not be lost. The money that he has
deposited till leaving the scheme, he will get interest equal to the savings
account of the banks. Tell that God does
not eat, if the policy holder farmer dies, then his wife will continue to get
50 percent.
