Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has sought clarification from Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on the questions arising on the use of corona vaccine.  He said that the use of the corona vaccine should be avoided until the third trial is completed.  Tharoor said that India should use the AstraZeneca vaccine during this period.  Let us tell you that the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the emergency use of covicillin vaccine of Serum Institute of India (SII) and covacine of Bharat Biotech in the country.

Compensation arrangements
AIIMS director Guleria further said that covicin would be used only as a backup if the British Corona new strain yielded serious consequences.  In such a situation, if a person shows side effects after the use of covaxine, then compensation has been arranged for this.  Dr. Guleria said that safety is given priority while approving a vaccine.  This is why vaccine testing has to go through several stages.  The vaccine is tested only after satisfactory results.
